A winner of the Museum School's Fifth Year program in Boston, Bobby Vilinsky used the award to travel to Venice and Florence, Italy in 1995. This distinction also gave him the chance to perform from a red sandbox in the Torf Gallery of the MFA. Prior to this, he graduated from the Museum School's Diploma Program, and before that, he earned a BA in English.

Mr. Vilinsky's work is represented in numerous private collections. Some have been reproduced in the "Emerson College of New Literature and Art" in Boston. He has worked extensively in a variety of media: paint, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture in wood and wire, video, and performance/installation art. He also studied film direction, writing, and analysis at the Orson Welles Film School in Cambridge.
